Raft and Brew
Like a peanut butter cup mixing chocolate and peanut butter for a tasty snack, our Raft & Brew combines two complimenting experiences, an exhilarating raft trip followed by a refreshing beer tasting at Cascade Lakes Lodge.
Shoot the rapids of the Upper Deschutes River through; Big Eddy! This 3-mile trip has it all. The forested beauty of the Upper Deschutes provides a natural Paradise for rafting, hiking and observing wildlife. We are floating through the beautiful Deschutes National Forest, where the flows of lava from Newberry National Volcanic Monument shaped the Deschutes River over 7,000 years ago. Towering ponderosa pins and quaking aspens cover the landscape as river otters playfully swim through this river wonderland.
Once you have returned to our Bend rafting center and changed back into your street clothes one of our raft guides will escort you over to Cascade Lakes Brewery for some refreshment. They will guide you through the brewing process and help you taste and rate 6 different Cascade Lakes Brews. Light appetizers are also provided.
After tasting and rating the various brews you may have worked up an appetite. Cascade Lakes Lodge has a fantastic menu that you will want to take advantage of upon the conclusion of the beer tasting.
Participants need to be 21 or older.
