Standup Paddle Boarding (SUP)
New for the Spring of 2010 Sun Country Tours is offering the ancient Hawaiian sport of Standup Paddle Boarding. This fast growing sport offers participants a fun way to get on Central Oregon’s beautiful lakes and rivers.
The SUP board is a large surfboard and riders paddle it with a long, lightweight single-bladed paddle. The recent popularity of SUP is a result of celebrities, along with athletes, who have taken up the sport for cross training and to increase core strength. What we like is that It offers good clean fun and the learning curve is simple. Our goal is to offer great rentals and lessons at reasonable rates to assure all ages can enjoy the benefits of this great outdoor activity.
