I hope that the winter has treated you all well and that you are ready for an awesome summer of whitewater rafting and making memories! Personally I am anxiously awaiting the season and all of you that make this such a fun place to work. Frankly it gets a little quite here with out you all.
2007 should be a very fun season. Trip schedule wise we did remove a McKenzie Full-Day, better to have one full trip then two partially full ones.
In other improvements we are upgrading to an online reservation system to make it easier for people to get the trip that they want. We will be diving into that come January. I am excited and nervous about the new technology. I would also like to get some video guest testimonials on the website....with the help of an inexpensive video camera and of YouTube.com. I may even recruit one or two of you to update a guides blog so that guests can see how much you all enjoy sharing our rivers with them.
To keep you all up to date with meetings and events I have started a calendar with Google. The link is on the left sidebar of this page. Also remember to update your first aid and CPR certifications prior to the season so you don't get sidelined for not being up to date. Standard F/A is required for guides and Advanced First Aid or better is required for Trip Leaders as well as SRT or WRT. We have a WRT class set up for May 25th, 26th, & 27th. Follow the link to the left for more details on the class. For anyone who has not taken one of these I highly recommend it!
