Job Description

As professionals in whitewater rafting adventure, our quest is to have the finest river outfitting company possible, whether judged by our guests or by our peers in the industry

I.                  

Job Expectations

·        Contribute to a positive team atmosphere

·        Prompt arrival to work as scheduled

·        Pleasant and courteous handling of guests

·        Conduct the best and safest river experience possible

·        Safe driving skills

·        Keep vehicles clean and detect mechanical problems

·        Friendly and enthusiastic communication with guests

·        Perform shuttle and meal-prep

·        Promote sales of future trips, photos etc.

·        Contribute to a positive, supportive team atmosphere

·        Conform to company policies as described in SCT Policy Handbook

II.               

Job Qualifications

·        Previous Commercial Whitewater Paddle Raft Guiding or equivalent

·        Current and valid drivers license (CDL preferred)

·        Valid first aid and CPR cards

·        Demonstrated boat handling skills

·        Demonstrated river knowledge

·        Demonstrated river rescue and first aid skills

·        Willingness

·        Demonstrated excellent guest interaction

III.            

Work Schedule

·        Seasonal within May 1 to September 30

·        Hours vary depending on guest numbers

·        Days of week may also vary as in most resort work

IV.             

Wage and Benefits

·        From $17 to $25 per trip on the Big Eddy Thriller

·        From $75 to $100 per trip on the All Day Adventure and McKenzie Full Day

·        From $95 to $125 per trip on the North Umpqua Full Day

·        From $65 to $85 per trip on the McKenzie Half Day

·        $110 per day on Multi-day trips
